The City of Surrey is asking for public input on ways to expand features at one of its most popular parks, as the population grows and recreational interests in the community shifts.
Unwin Park, in Surrey’s Newton neighbourhood, spans about 15 average-sized city blocks. Its amenities include a water park, outdoor pool, off-leash dog area, baseball diamonds and soccer fields, lacrosse boxes, basketball court, and the city’s largest inclusive playground.
The city wants to expand those recreational options and replace aging features.
