Police have urged motorists to avoid a section of the A45 after a van crashed on a flyover and caused debris to fall into the road below. Emergency services were called to the scene early on Tuesday morning following the incident which happened around 6am.
The crash had a huge impact on traffic causing congestion in the surrounding area. It is not known at this stage if there were any injuries.
A spokesman for Rugby Police said: "Road closures are currently in place on the A45 London Road and A423 Oxford Road after the driver of a van collided with the barriers on the A423 Oxford Road flyover, causing debris to fall onto the A45.
"This has resulted in significant traffic build up around Tollbar End and the surrounding roads including Stonebridge Highway. Our colleagues at National
