UFC 322 is just around the corner, featuring Islam Makhachev facing off against Jack Della Maddalena in the main event for the welterweight championship. This highly anticipated pay-per-view event will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Islam Makhachev is striving to become a two-weight champion after successfully defending his lightweight title with a first-round submission victory over Renato Moicano in January 2025 during the main event of UFC 311 at the Intuit Dome. Makhachev has a 27-1 record, with his only defeat coming against Adriano Martins in October 2015.

Della Maddalena is coming off a unanimous decision victory against Belal Muhammad in May 2015, marking an upset and ending Muhammad's 11-fight win streak. Della Maddalena now has a record of 18-2 and has been on a winning streak since 2016.
