BRUNSWICK, Ohio --- In a general election Nov. 4 that saw a number of incumbents lose their seats, voters in Brunswick Hills Township selected two newcomers to the township board of trustees. Meanwhile, in Brunswick, Mayor Ron Falconi successfully defended his seat.
Incoming Brunswick Hills trustees Tony Destro and Thomas DeCastra bested incumbents Christina Kusnerak and Patricia Murphy in a race for two open seats on the board, with Destro receiving 621 votes and DeCastra receiving 616, to Kusnerak’s 571 votes and Murphy’s 384 votes, based upon unofficial results from the Medina County Board of Elections. Rounding out the field of candidates, Katherine Esber received 495 votes and Ryan Kolegar received 367 votes.
