Jain “munis” on Tuesday demanded a decision by the civil court in two days in the Seth Hirachand Nemchand Digambar (HND) Jain Boarding and Temple case. Acharya Guptinandi Maharaj said a petition was filed in the civil court 10 days ago after the Charity Commissioner of Maharashtra approved the cancellation the property sale deed between the Seth Hirachand Nemchand Samarak Trust and Gokhale Landmarks LLP on October 30. Saying that the proceedings were moving at a slow pace, he said the “munis” would go on a protest if there was no decision in the case by Wednesday.

“The Charity Commissioner said the cancellation should be done as early as possible. But it has been delayed by 10 days now. This is a disrespect to the court, to the Maharashtra government, and the Charity Commissioner’s order.
