The blast that occurred in Delhi on Monday evening was planned to take place 460 km away in UP. This input received from Jammu and Kashmir Police and Gujarat ATS has alarmed UP's security agencies.

A senior UP officer gave this information to 'Dainik Bhaskar'. On condition of anonymity, he stated that UP Police had been receiving such inputs earlier, due to which surveillance had been increased.

The main target of the terrorists was Lucknow, the capital of UP. Besides these, several other major cities were also on target. Officials say that in recent days, activities of two different terrorist modules had come to light in UP. One was foiled by Gujarat ATS, while the other was foiled by Jammu and Kashmir Police. Therefore, it is likely that the terrorists changed their plan.
