ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Witnesses describe a house fire where Abilene High students saved a family.
Students Landon and Abby had just said good night to each other outside a home on the 2300 block of Regent Drive when they noticed something strange as Abby was driving away.
"He knocked on my window and said Abby stop, Abby stop, Abby stop, and I look over and their garage had little flames in it,” Abby said.
They quickly jumped into action, Abby calling 9-1-1 while Landon went to save the family, two adults and three children, who was unaware inside.
Down the street, neighbor Jason Coffman heard the commotion, saying "6 booms, then I came outside and then you could hear more booms.”
The "booms" were explosions from a motorcycle in the garage and vehicles in the driveway.
