Coronation Street fans have made a demand as the actor behind DI Costello opened up about his role in the ongoing Becky Swain storyline.

The character, played by Daon Broni, is the head of CID within Weatherfield Police and appears to be a key link when it comes to Lisa Swain's past.

He has appeared intermittently since August 2024, but it's in more recent months that Costello has been causing problems for the fan-favourite detective sergeant, despite him claiming he's only been protecting her.
