A furious holidaymaker returned home to find his motor had been stripped of parts at Glasgow Prestwick Airport car park.
Patrick McCloskey, 30, had flown into the airport at 3.30am after enjoying a week-long break in Tenerife with his girlfriend.
The couple, from Dunbar, were met by Police Scotland and an airport representative at passport control to inform them Patrick's car had been involved in a theft.
They couldn't believe it when they found their new Volkswagen stripped of a front bumper, grill, badge, license plate, and sensors on Tuesday, October 7.
Patrick, who uses his car for work across NHS Hospitals, said he was furious that thieves managed to target his car while it was locked up with airport parking.
