The Warm Home Discount has been extended this year to reach more low-income families.

Around three million extra people will get help with their energy bills as a result.

New eligibility rules mean everyone who claims Universal Credit will get the discount for the first time.

This is also the case for claimants of certain other benefits like Housing Benefit, Income Support and Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
