Lucknow: Lucknow based Dr Shaheen Shahid, who was arrested from Faridabad on Monday over suspicion of being a member of the ‘white terror module’, had been in touch with the Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad and was entrusted with the task of forming the women’s wing of the JeM in India.

According to the sources, Shaheen was in close contact with JeM’s chief Masood Azhar’s sister Saheeda Azhar and on her direction, she was planning to establish the women’s wing of the terror outfit in the country.

Reports said that Shaheen worked at Al Falah University in Faridabad. The Jammu & Kashmir police had arrested her after being tipped-off by Muzammil Ahmed, who was arrested earlier.

Police had recovered an AK-4 rifle from the car of Shaheen.
