DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A Duplin County man is facing multiple charges after troopers say he caused a hit & run crash that killed two people Sunday night.
Milton Ramos Meza is charged with two counts of felony death by vehicle, felony hit/run with serious injury/death, driving while impaired, reckless driving/wanton disregard, failure to maintain lane control, possession of open container, and no operators license.
The crash happened around 9:00 p.m. Sunday on Highway 903, just south of Magnolia.
Warrants say Jaqiera Rogers and Kamirah Oilus were killed in the crash that also damaged a utility pole.
WITN is still waiting on more details from the Highway Patrol on the crash.
The 25-year-old Ramos Meza was arrested yesterday and is being held in the Pender County jail on a $1 milli
