LOUISVILLE, Ky. — No. 12 Louisville and No. 9 Kentucky have had one of the sport's fiercest rivalries through the years, and it will continue Tuesday in Louisville.

It's the 58th meeting between both teams and will mark the earliest in a season the game has ever been played as it's traditionally held in December. The in-state rivalry dates back to 1913.

Kentucky leads the all-time series 40-17 and is 14-10 against the Cardinals in the Derby City. The Wildcats have a three-game win streak in the series and have won eight of the past 10 matchups; the last Louisville win was Dec. 26, 2020, a 62-59 Cardinals defeat.
