DAVIESS COUNTY — Three people were injured in a crash south of Pattonsburg Monday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says both the Winnebago driven by an 81-year-old Golden Valley, Minnesota man and a Freightliner driven by a 34-year-old Kansas City man were southbound on I-35 when the truck struck the RV’s towed unit.
The RV began to skid, rotate counterclockwise before it went off the left side of the road and overturned onto its passenger side. Meanwhile the truck skidded off the right side of the road, went down an embankment and hit a tree.
The driver of the RV and his 77-year-old female passenger were transported to hospitals with moderate and serious injuries, respectively. The truck driver refused treatment for minor injuries.
