A Pennsylvania man has been charged with soliciting sexual contact online from someone he thought was a Lebanon County girl but was actually an agent with the state attorney general’s office.
Eric Gillespie, 57, has been charged in Lebanon County with three counts of unlawful contact with a minor and a single count of criminal use of a communication facility, according to online court records.
Gillespie was denied bail after a district judge cited “flight risk and public safety concerns,” Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said in a statement.
The judge remanded Gillespie to the Lebanon County Prison while he awaits a Nov. 20 preliminary hearing.
According to Sunday, Gillespie started an online chat with the agent who was posing as a preteen girl and tried to arrange to meet her
