Incheon Asian Games bronze medalist Manju Bala has received a five-year ban from the Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel after testing positive for prohibited substances in 2024. The hammer thrower's suspension will commence from July 10, 2024, following the panel's decision on October 15. Bala, who secured bronze at the 2014 Asian Games , tested positive for dehydrochloromethyl-testosterone and SARMS LGD-4033. The National Anti-Doping Agency made her doping violation public in September last year. Athlete Mohan Saini has also been suspended for four years, with his ban starting from October 14, 2025.
