NEW YORK (Reuters) -Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan will ask for a meeting with New York Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani to discuss how he can work with him and will also offer some ideas, he told Fox News on Tuesday.
“We’ll ask for that meeting,” with Mamdani, he told Fox & Friends program in an interview. “I hope that the Mayor will engage with us and we’ll give him some ideas.”
His comments came after Moynihan told reporters in Boston last week that the bank had a deep interest in the success of New York City.
Wall Street and the finance industry had broad misgivings about Mamdani becoming mayor, but many are hopeful he will moderate his positions or face roadblocks to hiking taxes on corporations and the wealthy.
