SRINAGAR : In the main town of Budgam, voters at multiple blocks and polling stations voiced strong anger over what they called “seasonal politics.” Residents said leaders and political parties only appear when it is time to seek votes and disappear once the elections are over. Many voters expressed frustration, saying even the Chief Minister’s visit was limited to campaigning. They also said they demanded consistent attention and real development throughout the year.

“Every election we see the same faces returning for campaigns, but once the results are out, they disappear,” said Abdul Majid, a resident of main town Budgam, who cast his ballot around noon said.
