LAGRANGE, Ga. — LaGrange Police said Monday morning that responding officers to a shots fired call on Sunday night discovered a 35-year-old man dead of a gunshot wound.

According to LaGrange PD, it happened at a location on Houston Street, with the call coming in just after 8:30 p.m.

The department identified the man as Rashidi Grant.

There were no details available on what might have led to the shooting.

"Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division were notified and responded to the location, where they assumed control of the investigation. This case remains active and ongoing.
