Police are looking for three people who took off on foot after officers in Norwich tried pulling over a stolen vehicle believed to be tied to an armed carjacking reported last week in Glastonbury.
The vehicle was spotted on Monday just before 4:10 p.m. when police tried to conduct a motor vehicle stop, according to Sgt. Pete Karasuk of the Norwich Police Department .
Karasuk said the driver took off and lost control of the vehicle shortly thereafter, crashing into a guardrail on Route 2 West just prior to Exit 34. Three people got out of the vehicle and fled on foot into a wooded area.
Officers conducted a track using K-9 units in search of the individuals, receiving assistance from Connecticut State Police and the Montville Police Department, Karasuk said. They could not be located.
