A new doughnut shop recently opened in Ocean Springs and is going viral after its response to a scathing review left in a popular local Facebook group.

Parlor Doughnuts opened late last month in the old Krispy Kreme building on Bienville Blvd., a busy thoroughfare that connects the city to U.S. 90. The chain offers layered, croissant-like doughnuts , pastries and house-made espresso drinks.

In the Ocean Springs Talk of the Town Facebook group, residents had spent months tracking the renovation process, sharing excitement for a new breakfast option in town with a drive-thru.

But earlier this week, a customer posted a negative review of his recent order in the group, which led to thousands of reactions and comments — and an apologetic sign from the business that won over the internet.
