Community Development Director Brian McBroom will serve as Greeley’s acting city manager as City Manager Raymond Lee resigns.

The Greeley City Council met Monday to appoint McBroom and accept Lee’s formal resignation under a separation agreement with the city.

McBroom will officially assume his new role on Dec. 3, though he’ll also serve in the role when Lee isn’t in the office prior to his official last day on Dec. 2. Lee, who will act as a mentor for McBroom until Lee’s final day, is set to effectively depart Nov. 21 as he uses holiday time.

McBroom will hold the position until the city appoints a new city manager, before returning to his role as community development director.
