GRAND RAPIDS, MI – With the first snowfall officially on the ground, Grand Rapids is getting ready to ring in the holiday season.
City officials will be putting up the 2025 Christmas tree on Wednesday, Nov. 12, and have scheduled the annual tree lighting ceremony for later this month.
The 37-foot Concolor Fir Christmas tree will be installed using a crane and a boom lift early Wednesday morning at Rosa Parks Circle, 135 Monroe Center St. NW, according to a city news release.
This year’s tree, which comes from Watson’s Tree Farm in Lake City, will have 40,000 to 50,000 lights.
The city’s annual tree lighting ceremony is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, between Monroe Avenue NW and Ottawa Avenue NW.
