The Rams signed tight end Nick Muse to the practice squad on Tuesday, giving Sean McVay yet another option at the position moving forward. Muse may only be on the practice squad right now but his addition to the roster in any capacity is interesting given that L.A. already has four notable tight ends on the 53-man roster and rookie Mark Redman on the practice squad.
The 27-year-old Muse has some experience with a McVay offense as he has spent his entire career with the Minnesota Vikings and Kevin O’Connell.
The Vikings drafted Muse out of South Carolina in the 7th round of the 2022 draft. Muse had 805 yards in three seasons at South Carolina after transferring from William & Mary. At his pro day, Muse measured just under 6’5, 259 lbs, and ran a 4.71 40-yard dash with an impressive 27 rep
