Another major U.S. retailer is closing locations nationwide and laying off employees due, in part, to financial strain and higher costs resulting from tariffs.

Carter’s, which sells clothing and footwear for babies, toddlers, and young children, plans to shutter approximately 150 stores over the next three years, the company revealed in its latest earnings report . Additionally, 300 office-based positions will also be slashed.
