Budgam, Nov 11: In the run-up to the Budgam Assembly by-poll, political temperatures soared on Tuesday as People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLA Pulwama, Waheed ur Rehman Para, launched a scathing attack on the National Conference (NC), accusing it of betraying public trust and failing to deliver on key promises concerning Article 370, employment, and reservations.

Speaking to reporters in Budgam, Para said the people had reposed great faith in the NC government led by Omar Abdullah, but were left disillusioned.

“The NC has made a complete U-turn on its core issues. Every promise made to the people stands broken,” he said.
