MARTINSBURG—Senators Patricia Rucker and Jason Barrett made rounds in Berkeley and Jefferson on Monday, presenting checks to two worthy organizations in each county. The funds came in the form of grants through the Local Economic Development Assistance (LEDA) program that gives each Legislator funds to bring back to their home counties.

The first stop for the senators was at War Memorial Park in Martinsburg where they presented checks to Joe Burton director of Berkeley County Parks and Recreation, in the amount of $25,000 each to be used toward renovating the oldest playground in the park.
