A person was hospitalized after a possible shooting in a Miami Gardens neighborhood on Tuesday, officials said.

The incident was reported in the area of Northwest 24th Court and Northwest 168th Street.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said crews responded to the area for reports of a possible shooting and found an adult patient, who was airlifted to a local hospital as a trauma alert.

That person's identity and exact condition weren't available. It's unknown what led to the incident.

Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed a large police presence in the neighborhood.

No other details were immediately available.
