NORRISTOWN — A Philadelphia man reacted with a rap-style, quick-witted response after a judge sentenced him to two decades in prison for repeatedly stabbing and intending to kill an unarmed loss prevention officer during a disturbance at a Five Below store in Cheltenham Township.

“I told the judge don’t budge, it was him or me. I’m not trying to be hard but I’m guilty as charged. I put my mercy on this court and my faith in God,” Truman Jermaine Parks fired off the spontaneous, rhythmic remark when asked by a reporter for a comment about his sentence as he was escorted by sheriff’s deputies from a Montgomery County courtroom on Monday.
