The Vanderbilt women’s soccer team will enter the NCAA Tournament this weekend as a No. 1 seed for the first time in school history.
The Commodores (15-3-2) earned their lofty perch on the strength of the team’s current nine-game unbeaten streak, which included capturing the 2025 SEC Tournament on Sunday with a win over LSU.
Other top seeds in the NCAA Tournament are Notre Dame, Virginia and Stanford.
Vandy will host Tennessee Tech (7-6-8) on Friday at 7 p.m. CT, with the victor of the first-round game advancing to play the winner of the Clemson-Liberty contest Nov. 20. The Golden Eagles won the Ohio Valley Conference tournament over the weekend, extending their program-record unbeaten streak to 11 games in a row.
