1Teen girl missing in Bethesda after being last seen midday Monday

Bethesda, MD – A 15-year-old girl has been reported missing after she was last seen around noon on Monday in the 6400 block of Rock Spring Drive, prompting an active search by Montgomery County Police.

Kira Adelle Purdy, described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, was last spotted around 12 p.m. Monday. She has brown hair, brown eyes, wears glasses, and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, black-and-white Converse shoes, and carrying a black backpack.

Authorities released surveillance images of Kira from the day she went missing in an effort to assist the public in identifying and locating her. The circumstances of her disappearance have not been disclosed.
