Budgam, Nov 11: In a powerful display of democratic spirit, women voters across Budgam Assembly constituency turned out in impressive numbers on Tuesday, often outpacing men in polling station queues and reshaping the narrative of political engagement.

From Budgam town to Nasrullahpora, Ompora, and surrounding hamlets, polling booths witnessed unprecedented participation from women, young, elderly, and first-time voters, determined to make their voices heard.

“This is the first time I voted,” said Sana Farooq, a college student from Budgam town, proudly showing her inked finger. “We keep hearing that politics is a man’s world, but today we showed it belongs to all of us.”
