SPOKANE, Wash. — The ballots are tallied, and it looks like voters will approve the Together Spokane initiative. The election will be officially certified Nov. 25.

The Parks levy is passing by a wide margin, earning 55.8% of the needed 50% of the vote. The Spokane Public Schools bond has 61.8% of the vote and will also likely pass.

The Parks and Recreation department is thanking voters for their support. The levy and bond's passages will benefit "every park, school, and neighborhood across our city," they said in a statement.

With necessary funds expected to be in hand by May, Parks is getting to work on projects and timelines.
