ST. JOHN — Kay Leatherman passed away on Nov. 6, 2025. She was born in Brownwood, Texas to Curry Cullen Leatherman and Beatrix Mary Goff Leatherman on June 10, 1943, and she lived a life that was bold, imperfect, loyal, and deeply her own. Kay was known for saying she would “live to be 103 and be shot in the ass by a jealous old lady,” a line that captures her humor, grit, and unapologetic spirit better than any polished sentiment ever could. She was not fancy, and she was never quiet. She lived by instinct and emotion, and she loved with her whole heart.

She was the mother of three, her boys Ty Reighard (Jenny) and Curry Eversole (Kristin) and her daughter, Chrystine Green (Mark). Her children were her world. If anyone crossed them, Kay made it clear they had picked the wrong fight. Her
