On Veterans Day, we express gratitude for the many sacrifices that the men and women who have bravely served our country, as well as their families, have made for our nation and our freedom. America’s security and prosperity rely on the selfless service of our heroes in uniform, and we must never forget that freedom is not free. It is earned by those who place themselves in harm’s way for us.
North Carolina is well known as a very military-friendly state with so many active-duty military service members and veterans who live here. I am proud that so many of our veterans call the Third District home.
