Northern Irish country singer on making it in Nashville

Country music might be the most American of sounds but for 25-year-old Northern Irish singer songwriter Gareth, it’s also the sound of home.

Raised on the Tennessee sounds of George Jones and Hank Williams Jr, he’s making his own splash with his latest album Bluebird.

Now based in Nashville, Tennessee, the capital of country music, a massive audience on social media kickstarted his career and led to his appearance on stage at the Grand Ole Opry earlier this month.
