ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - Former Cardinal Pitcher Mitch Harris was the first military veteran in a century to play in the major leagues.
Harris attended the United States Naval Academy, and after serving as a Lieutenant in the Navy, became the first Naval Academy graduate to appear in the major leagues since 1921.
Harris was with the Cardinals from 2015 until 2017.
