Down the rabbit hole she goes: Sabrina Carpenter is set to star in an Alice in Wonderland -themed musical movie.

The Hollywood Reporter describes the film as Carpenter’s passion project, which she herself brought to Universal a year ago with “specific ideas and a lookbook.” Lorene Scafaria ( Hustlers ) has been brought on board to write and direct the feature.

Along with her starring role, Carpenter will produce the film alongside Marc Platt ( Wicked ).
