CHEYENNE – The local man arrested for the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old in the parking lot of King Soopers pleaded not guilty Monday afternoon in Laramie County District Court.
Judge Robin S. Cooley accepted Mansoor Ali’s plea, but denied a request by his attorney, Crystal Stewart, to reduce his bond from $500,000 cash only to $100,000 cash or surety.
Ali was arrested Oct. 9 on one count of second-degree murder and four counts of aggravated assault in relation to a road rage incident that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Benjamin “Benji” Glenn.
Stewart argued that although the charges are severe, Ali has no prior criminal history and has been an upstanding member of the Cheyenne community his entire life.
