Sabrina Carpenter will star in and produce a musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.

Lorene Scafaria ( Hustlers ) will direct and write the script.

The film is reportedly “a passion project” for Carpenter.

For her next magic trick, Sabrina Carpenter will jump down a rabbit hole. The “Manchild” singer is set to produce and star in an as-yet-untitled musical film inspired by Lewis Carroll’s beloved 1865 children’s novel Alice in Wonderland .

Details are still under wraps for the buzzy Carpenter-led project for Universal Pictures, but at least one other exciting name is already attached: Lorene Scafaria—known for her work on the HBO series Succession and I Love LA , as well as the acclaimed film Hustlers —will write the script and direct the film.
