The annual Veterans Day ceremony near the Delaware Memorial Bridge Tuesday included the dedication of an expanded Wall of Remembrance.
Former President Joe Biden was on hand for the celebratory ribbon-cutting, which was followed by the traditional service hosted by the Delaware River and Bay Authority and the Delaware Commission of Veterans Affairs. The wall contains the names of more than 16,000 men and women in uniform from Delaware and New Jersey who gave their lives in wartime since World War II. The extension now includes those who died during the Vietnam War, Gulf conflicts and other operations.
There is also space that hopefully will not be filled.
