It’s not too late to see the fall colors of one of Oregon’s classic autumn views .

The lake, managed by Mt. Hood National Forest, is 40 miles southeast of Portland. It’s a popular tourist destination for fishing, kayaking, hiking and camping. It sees its fair share of extra traffic in the summer.

The last stretches of the Trillium Lake Boardwalk have been successfully rebuilt, reopening the complete scenic loop as of late September. As vehicle access prepares to close for the season, visitors have the rest of November to see Mount Hood reflected in the lake and surrounded by colorful leaves.
