AKRON, Ohio — Mikal Gamble, the 32-year-old Warrensville Heights man who pled guilty to several charges related to leading multiple high-speed chases across Summit County that injured officers and damaged vehicles, received his sentence on Tuesday.

Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Joy Oldfield sentenced Gamble to nearly five years in prison (59 months) and ordered him to pay $17,647 in restitution for damage to Akron police cruisers. He was also given a six-year driver's license suspension.

In September, Gamble pleaded guilty to two counts of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, one count of inducing panic, two counts of vandalism, and one count of criminal damaging or endangering.
