A gunman who shot his victim at point blank range after putting GPS trackers on the victim's car has been locked up for more than 30 years.

Leon Haughton, 34, shot the man in a car park in Dudley at around 1.20am on April 6 this year.

CCTV captured the defendant fleeing the scene on foot before getting into his car and driving away.

The victim, in his 20s, turned up at hospital around 25 minutes after the shooting.

Eight days later on April 14, Haughton tried to escape from armed officers on Great Hampton Street in Wolverhampton .
