BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas – Law enforcement and first responders in Brazoria County are searching for a missing man.

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office said they were called at approximately 1:10 p.m. on Monday by concerned family members about a 70-year-old man who had taken a boat for a test drive on the San Bernard River and did not return. The man was last seen around noon on Monday.

Authorities say they immediately started searching for the man and there remains an increased law enforcement presence along the San Bernard River near FM 521 on Tuesday. The search remains ongoing.

Several agencies are assisting the sheriff’s office with the search.
