The man credited with inventing the Sheetz "MTO" is retiring after four decades with the company.

Ray Ryan started at Sheetz in 1977, managed the rollout of their "Made to Order" menu and helped create the company's first distribution center. Advertisement

Ryan joined the board of directors in 2019 and recently helped rebrand the Sheetz IT department.

Sheetz said Ryan will be replaced on the board by Dave Woodley, who has worked for the company since 1983 and was most recently an executive vice president of marketing.
