Movies have returned to Londonderry.

A ribbon-cutting event kicked off the newly opened and family-owned O’Neil Cinemas, a four-decade long legacy in New Hampshire that is bringing cutting-edge technology, luxury seating and other enhanced movie amenities to the former AMC theater building at 16 Orchard View Drive that closed in September 2024.

A grand opening Monday drew a big crowd of supporters who came out to see the newest film technology and how the former theater building was transformed into a state-of-the-art facility offering movies, food, and a brand new entertainment experience.

About 50 new jobs will be created.
