A report of alleged fraud at Hamilton Academical Football Club is being investigated by Police Scotland. ‌

It is more bad news for the League One outfit after they today saw owner Seref Zengin and director of football Gerry Strain deemed not 'fit and proper' to run the club by the Scottish Football Association. ‌

In a turbulent period, Accies were docked 15 points in April for failing to play players last season and failure to fulfil its tax obligations to HMRC, which led to their relegation from the Scottish Championship. ‌

Last month the club - who moved out of the town in the summer and switched home games to Broadwood in Cumbernauld - was slapped with a further six point deduction in League One and a £22,000 fine for flouting a transfer embargo imposed at the start
