COLUMBUS — Gov. Mike DeWine isn’t likely to propose further state restrictions on proposition bets after Major League Baseball and sports gambling companies agreed to limit micro prop bets, according to DeWine spokesman Dan Tierney.
“When you can work with parties to come to a mutually agreed upon solution, that’s always the best case. I think what we have here is a pretty targeted solution to the problem,” Mr. Tierney said.
However, Mr. Tierney said the governor could still take further action on prop bets if the situation changes.
“We’ll see what develops. Hopefully this solves the issue,” Mr. Tierney said. “Should something develop with new facts that require additional action, I don’t think the governor would hesitate to try and do it.”
