After escaping with a narrow 78-77 win over Pacific on Saturday night, thanks to two missed tip-ins at the buzzer by the Tigers, the Nevada men’s basketball team will try to make it three wins in a row when Southern Illinois is at Lawlor Events Center.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday. Both teams are out to perfect 2-0 records, but Nevada is favored by nine points in the contest.

Saturday’s crowd of 7,307 fans stood for the last five minutes and roared with every Pack shot and groaned with every turnover during a furious back-and-forth between the teams.
